NY League Vintage Baseball

NY League Vintage Baseball
The figure-eight baseball cover was first developed by Ellis Drake in the 1840's. This style cover did not become popular until the early 1870's when the two-piece ball became the standard. This homage to a staple of the American aesthetic is hand-stitched using genuine Salvaged Italian Leather. The Baseballs are individually hand lettered making each a unique piece.
*Suitable for outdoor play but meant as an encouraging collector's piece.
I chose the words "Knock 'em Dead" to remind us to GO FOR THE WIN.
